FOR FULL WEEKEND PARTICIPANTS
FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 14
8:30 am: Meet at Ron Tonkin Gran Turismo (25300 SW Parkway Ave, Wilsonville, OR 97070).
9:00 am: Depart for a tour to Bend. For more info about the route call Rick Martin, 503-297-2463.
Noon - 5:00 pm: Beer Car wash area located at the Mt. Bachelor Village - signs will be posted.
6:30 pm - 9:00 pm: Registration and Welcome Reception (The affair is a totally no-host, a la carte evening) at Bistro 28. You can drop in to pick up your registration, have a drink at the bar, and have dinner at the restaurant. It's a busy place, so dinner reservations are recommended (541-728-0065), but not necessary, as we will have space allocated for the evening.
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 15
8:00 am: Placement of cars at the Deschutes Historical Museum, Bend, Oregon (may be subject to frost delay). PLEASE NOTE: Our space is going to be limited, but we are looking into closing down Idaho street, which faces the front of the Museum, giving more room to spread our cars out. We are estimating 50 cars on the grass, with first-registered getting the allocation. We are about 2/3 there, so if you want to get on the grass, you better hurry up and register. But, note the "fine print" below.
10:00 am: Oregon Festival of Cars opens.
Music by Dan Balmer; ballots for People's Choice Award available to all spectators. (voting closes at 2:00 pm).
3:00 pm: Oregon Festival of Cars closes.
7:30 - 10:00 pm: Banquet and fun-filled evening with friends both old and new.
Held at Mount Bachelor Village Resort.
SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 16
9:00 am: Sunday Tour and lunch designed by German Master Tech. More info to come.
FINE PRINT ABOUT THE GRASS
1. The first 50 to register get dibs on the grass, but keep in mind this is our first time at this location. So, we are estimating room for 50 cars. If it turns out that we can't fit that many onto the grass and you get cut out, please accept our apologies.
2. Being in the first 50 gets you dibs, but no guarantee. If you're in the first 50 but you're tardy (after 8:30 am), we can't hold your spot. Sorry. At 9 am, any remaining grass spots will become available to anyone who wants them.
3. Being early won't help. The field OPENS at 8 am.
4. Keep in mind that space on the grass is limited. While we will be sure to maintain appropriate spacing between cars, we will not be able to leave any driveway space. That means that, if you are parked on the grass, you will not be able to leave before the end of the Festival, when all the cars depart in organized fashion. If time will be critical for you, please chose not to park on the grass.
