TENTATIVE SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 14
8:30 am: Assemble for drive/tour to Bend, location TBD.
9:00 am: Depart for Bend, lunch (on your own) tentatively from noon to 1. Info about the route will be announced soon.
1:00 pm - 5:00 pm: Car wash area located behind Bend Amphitheater.
6:00 pm - 8:30 pm: "Pre-fest" gathering, registration and hosted dinner (no-host bar) at Club Carrera in Bend.
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 15
8:00 am - 10:00 am: Placement of cars on the Les Schwab Amphitheater grounds, Bend, Oregon (may be subject to frost delay)
10:00 am: Oregon Festival of Cars opens.
Interviews and announcements by Festival Master of Ceremonies, Keith Martin, Editor and Publisher of Sports Car Market Magazine,
music, voting for the Jay Audia People's Choice Award -- ballots available to all spectators at the Festival Memorabilia canopy (voting closes at 2:00 pm).
Noon - 1:00 pm: Lunch Break. Visit the food and drink vendors available on the amphitheater grounds, or restaurants in the Old Mill District.
1:00 pm: Commentary from Keith Martin, as he travels around the amphitheater grounds visiting with car owners.
2:00 pm: Festival Parade -- gather at Festival Central for the parade of specially selected
cars to be driven by the reviewing area for commentary by Keith Martin.
3:00 pm: Oregon Festival of Cars closes.
7:30 pm: Dinner and fun trophies, plus People's Choice Award Presentation. Held at the Convention Center at the Riverhouse.
SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 16
8:30 am: Dash takes off (desitnation to be announced).
9:30 am: Hosted continental breakfast.
10:00 am: Sunday Dash -- this is a no-gimmick, no way to get lost tour over fantastic scenic roads ending with a grand finale catered lunch. |
